FUNCTIONS

Thoroughbred Park Function & Convention Centre is quickly developing an enviable reputation for conference and function facilities.

Offering the best of both worlds with the freedom and tranquility of the countryside, a beautiful view, unlimited free parking and situated only five minutes from the heart of the City.

The racecourse is a wonderful alternative offering a relaxed and peaceful setting with one of the best views in Canberra. At Thoroughbred Park Function & Convention Centre we know how to make you feel welcome, understand the needs of your ever-changing requirements and we are readily available to make your function a success.

The Function Centre offers an extensive variety of menus to suit every functions budget, however, our award winning caterers are more than happy to design a menu to suit your needs.

The club has conference and function facilities to suit everyone, from small conferences of 15 people to large corporate events of 2000. Our rooms are suitable from the smallest planning day to the largest wedding. Why not utilise our Fashions on the Field stage for your fashion parade, or the mounting yard for pre-dinner drinks!

A private organiser’s office is available for Exhibitions in the Pavilion.  Special rates are available for Exhibitions & Trade Displays.

These rental charges are dependant upon the time period requirements, number of guests in attendance and overall catering requirements.

Terms & Conditions are applicable to all room hire.

Dance Floor available (5m X 5m).

Christmas is always a special time to reflect on the year, to celebrate with friends and colleagues and welcome the festive season.

Thoroughbred Park can meet your party needs with our various packages including a traditional ham and turkey buffet, cocktail party or sit down luncheon.

CONFERENCE PACKAGES

Why not hold your next conference, seminar or training session in one of our rooms. Air conditioned comfort with beautiful views of the Brindabella, Majura and Black Mountains through the floor to ceiling windows, and the grass is always green at Thoroughbred Park. All Conference Packages include: Linen, whiteboard, and room set up as requested Ice water & conference mints

Conference Package - $50.00 per person

Includes:

  • On Arrival: Percolated coffee, a selection of tea
  • Morning Tea Break: Percolated coffee, a selection of tea & a variety of Danish pastries
  • Working Lunch (Served in Room): All lunches served with freshly brewed coffee, selection of tea and freshly squeezed orange juice

  • OPTION A: Selection of Gourmet Rolls, Lavoushe wraps and open Sandwiches, Australian Cheese and Fresh Fruit
  • OPTION B: Antipasto platters of dips, cured and smoked meats, marinated artichokes, Dolmades, Semi-Dried Tomatoes, Olives, baked Turkish bread, Freshly Baked Quiches which may include Bacon and Onion, Spinach and Fetta, Leg ham and Cheddar and Chive, Chicken, Roast Beetroot and Goats Cheese, Mixed garden Salad, Roast Potato and sour cream Salad, Fresh Fruit Platter
  • OPTION C: Traditional Homemade Beef Lasagna, Chicken and mixed vegetable frittata, Greek Salad, roasted sweet potato honey and balsamic salad, Selection of house made Slices - which may include Caramel, Cherry, Brandy Alexander, Strawberry Lintzer, Rocky Road
  • OPTION D: Chicken Skewers with Mild Butter Curry and cream Sauce topped with fresh tomato, Steamed Coriander Rice, Traditional Caesar Salad, Thai cauliflower and spinach salad, Mediterranean pasta salad, Chefs choice of Cake of the Day.

MINIMUM OF 15 GUESTS

Conferences with 10-14 persons will incur a surcharge of $5 per person

Conferences with 9 persons or less incur a surcharge of $10 per person

All rooms will be charged at normal room hire rates

* 20% Surcharge is applicable on Sunday and Public Holiday room hire rates

*15% Labour surcharge is applicable on Sunday and Public Holidays to the total food and beverage account.

Entry is via the stairs at the northern end of the building.

On Canberra Race days entry is restricted to Club Members and Club Guest (Associate) badge holders only.
